The final quarter of 2020 was a bustling period for Match 3 games on the Android platform in Europe. Sensor Tower's data provides us with a clear view of how some of the most popular titles in this category performed during this time.
Starting with Homescapes, we saw a notable rise in revenue from $1.04M in the last week of September to $1.42M by the end of December. Downloads peaked at 711K in the first week of November before gradually decreasing to 597K by the year's end. The weekly active users for this title showed a slight upward trend, starting at 4.47M and ending the quarter with 4.77M.
Playrix's other popular game, Gardenscapes, also experienced a revenue increase from $1.94M to $1.76M during Q4. The game's downloads saw an initial steadiness around 280K, followed by a spike to 561K in the final week of the year. The weekly active users for Gardenscapes were relatively stable, with a slight increase from 4.14M to 4.39M over the quarter.
